That a park naming contest be held to name the two new parks in Citadel Heights. That the Mayor appoint a committee to salect the winning names. That an appropriate prize be given to the winners. Carried. From the Parks and Recreation Director, October 25th, 1989 regarding Lions Park Changerooms. Moved by Alderman Keryluk: Seconded by Alderman Laking: 1. That an additional $9,000 be taken from the park D.C.C. interest to meet the tendered price of $33,808. That Expand Construction be awarded the contract to do the Lions Park changerooms. Carried. From the City Clerk, October 17th, 1989 regarding Sale of City Property ~ 2200 Block Stafford Avenue. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Wright: WHEREAS the lands hereinafter described are not required for municipal purposes nor are they reserved or dedicated; NOW THEREFORE be it resolved that: i. Lots 1 to 5, inclusive, Block 8, District Lot 290, Group One, Plan 1957, New Westminster District, Port Coquitlam, B.C. be sold by tender if bids acceptable to Council are received; The City Clerk is hereby instructed and authorized to publish and post the “Real Property for Sale By Tender" notice appearing in the Agenda documents of this Council Meeting; The terms and conditions contained therein are hereby approved; The City Clerk carry out the procedures set out therein; Council reserves the right to accept any bid or to reject all of the bids if Council in its absolute discretion determines that rejection is appropriate.
