March 6th, 1978 A Special In Camera Meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chamber, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B. C. on March 6, 1978 at 10:45 p.m. His Worship Mayor 3.M. Campbell, Aldermen J.J. Keryluk, G.R. Laking, E.W. Mabbett, P.F. Ranger, M.A. Thompson and L.M. Traboulay in attendance. Also in attendance were Chief Administrative Officer L.D. Pollock, City Engineer V.G. Borch, P. Eng., City Clerk R.A. Freeman, Recreation Director Janna Taylor, City Treasurer J.G.S. Maitland, and Planning ‘Officer’ L. Lee. Moved by’ Alderman Mabbett: Seconded by Alderman Thompson: That the proceedings of this Council be conducted In Camera with all persons excluded except members of the Council, Chief Administrative Officer L.D. Pollock, City Engineer V.G. Borch, P. Eng., City Clerk R.A. Freeman, Récreation Director Janna Taylor, City Treasurer J.G.S. Maitland, Carried. Chief Administrative Officer L.D. Pollock and City Engineer V.G. Borch, P. Eng., outlined various problems that had arisen in connection with the employment of Won Kim as Parks Superintendent and a discussion ensued. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Ranger: Be it resolved that the action of City Engineer V.G. Borch, P. Eng., in suspending Mr. Won Kim from his position as Parks Superintendent effective February 28, 1978 be endorsed, ratified, and confirmed; “AND BE [IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Won Kim be and he is hereby discharged from his position as Parks Superintendent as, in the opinion of Council, reasonable cause exists for discharge.
