City Engineer SUBJECT: Placement of Large Street Signs at Major Intersections (Public Works/Traffic Committee August 14, 1990) Recommendations: l. It is recommended that Council approve the installation of two large street name signs on the existing metal traffic poles at the intersection of Mary Hill Road and Pitt River Road, showing the location of the Mary Hill Road intersection for traffic travelling along Pitt River Road. It is recommended that Council allocate $300.00 from the 1990 Public Works Capital Fund for these signs. Background & Comments: The Committee considered a request to review policies regarding the placement of large street signs at major intersections in Port coquitlam. The Committee felt that most of the intersections within the City had street signs of adequate size except for the intersection of Mary Hill at Pitt River Road.
