SUBJECT: Traffic & Access to Proposed Shell Station,,
Pitt River Road & Harbour Street
RECOMMENDATION -

That the City accept the proposed access and road improvements for the
Development Permit for the proposed Shell Service Station. |

BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION

At the regular Council Meeting of July 23rd, 1990, Council reques.ted
additional information regarding traffic and proposed access to the propused
Shell Service Station. |
Attached are plans for the proposed road improvements, and traffic circulation.
The following traffic features are noted:

l. No access to or from Mary Hill Bypass

2. Vehicles going south on Pitt River Road may access through a
driveway directly from Pitt River Road.

3. Vehicles going north on Pitt River Road are prevented from
accessing the Service Station by a median on Pitt River Road and
therefore must first turn west on to Harbour Street to access the

station.
