September 1/th, 1979, A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on September 17th, 1979 at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor J.M. Campbell, Aldermen J.J. Keryluk, G.R. Laking, E.W. Mabbett, P.F. Ranger, L.M. Traboulay and M.R. Wright in attendance. Also in attendance were Chief Administrative Officer L.D. Inspector Davis advised he has been in policing CASTE eater MEN Pom re ARE for 26 years in Operational Services from Eastern Canada across the Provinces to Western Canada. Inspector Davis advised he has a strong interest in crime prevention and stated the R.C.M.P. Detachment is commencing a program on crime prevention in the schools beginning with Bf h f i ' H i { : the Kindergarten children and working up through the elementary grades. Discussion then ensued on the statistics in the July, 1979 R.C.M.P. report and a general discussion ensued on vandalism and speeding. CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES: Minutes: Sept. 10/79. Moved by Ajlderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That the minutes of the regular meeting of this Council held on September 10th, 1979 be taken as read and adopted. Carried, BY-LAWS: Alderman Laking asked to be excused from the meeting as the next item on the Agenda concerns a proposed development which would affect property owned by him.
