That as recommended in a report from the Planning & Zoning Committee,
; June 4th, 1976, the revised scheme for a semi-detached housing development

at Oxford and York Streets, be approved, and that the necessary procedures

be undertaken for the submission of a Land Use Contract to the required

; Public Hearing. Carried.
: Alderman Ranger voted against the resolution.

t Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution, Mr. Horvath advised,
: in response to a query from Alderman Thompson, that drawings of the

: proposed development would be made available to him for canvassing the
: residents concerned as to their opinions thereon.

At 9:15 p.m. Alderman Laking returned and resumed his place in the

that the Recreation Department wilt be having a Water Safety Day on June

27th, 1976 at Hyde Creek pool, at which time residents of the City will

be encouraged to bring their safety vests, life jackets, etc., for

testing and instruction as to correct usage; further, there will be a

water der.s..stration of safety as well as displays.

{ Tyner St. received from Donaghy Development Ltd. for a permit to clear by burning,

the centre of properties located at 2330-2340 Tyner Street, and stating

he felt that as the site is very close to Hawthorne Manor, a number of
complaints may be received in connection therewith.
