Dear Mayor and Council: May we have the permission of your Council to conduct a Door~to-Deor Campaign the week of January 28th to February 3rd, 1979. This Campaign known fer twenty-six years as the Kinsmen Mother's March, is the main source of revenue for the Kinsmen Rehabilitation Foundation of British Columbia. The Kinsmen Rehabilitation Foundation provides a multitude of services directly to the physically handicapped of British Columbia, as well as providing selective funding to a number of projects or small organizations which offer specific and specialized services to the various groups of the physically disabled. The Mothers’ March will be conducted by Volunteers who nermally live in the block which they canvass. The normal time is from 6:00 p.m. to’ 9:00 p.m, on the week nights and 1:00 p.m to 5 p.m. on Sunday, January 28th. Each Marcher has an individually numbered kit and a large lapel to clearly identify her. Should there be any questions you wish to ask, please do not hesitate to call me.
