The City Engineer has requested permission to attend the Annual

Meeting of the Professional Engineers which will be held this year in

Victoria, October 27th to 29th, 1977. Mr. Borch has not attended a

conference this year and feels that this year's programme of the Society

will be appropriate as it includes a number of papers on municipal engineering

and transportation which would be of interest to the City.

I would recommend that Mr. Borch be authorized to attend and that

his expenses be paid.
