Bach of ber three dimensional sculptures GUILD MADE OF CLAY AT CHRISTMAS Applications are coming in every day for the new formatof 5' x5 open booth spaces. Many members are applying who have not participated ina Made of Clay event pre- viously. The new layout seems very popu- lar, All paricapants are responsible for their own sales and packaging. However the Guild makes available a central credit and machine for a 3% commission on processed sales. In addition the Guild is accepting orders for issue paper, news- print and bags for packaging. Become a Guild poluntecr, Calla Board member or Jane for details 604-669-5645. NEWS MADE OF CLAY: CERAMICS OF BRITISH COLUMBIA BOOK SALES Book sales for the month of August are below target. We planned to sell 50 retail and 50 wholesale copies but results are 17 retail, 10 wholesale and 4 to Douglas & Melntyre. The July sales for Douglas & McIntyre were quite strong at 22 copies. This brings the total books sold to just over 1,000, a third of the total printed. CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS We hope to increase our exposure in the clay community and do more things for our members, To help accomplish this we are asking for volunteers to be available on un as-needed basis. Your commitment depends purely on your availability; projects require as little as twice a year or one day a month. Once we have a sizeable roster, we can formalize the valunteercom- mittee and select a coordinator. If you are interested, please call a Board member or nee at the Guild office.
