The Maple Sugar Festival du Sucre d’Erable 2007 is fast approaching, and the volunteer organisation
process has begun. The 2007 Festival dates, held at Beban Park, are February 21st to 25th, with volunteers
needed before, during, and after that week. Our wonderful team of festival volunteers is being rounded
up for another fun-filled week of Maple Sugar activities but we always welcome newcomers.

If you'd like to enjoy some pure Nanaimo ‘Joie de Vivre’ please contact the Francophone Association office
(AFN) today and check out the various volunteer opportunities that await you!

The Festival needs volunteers for the tasks leading up to the event and the event itself. There are many
different volunteer opportunities and departments needing specific skills. Perhaps you have a particular
talent or ability, such as: organising & leading a team, carpentry, food service or prep, technical know-how,
computers, special class driver's license, sales, etc. Let us know what your preferences are, and if your are
open to any possibility, and remember that knowledge of the French language is not a prerequisite. Every-
one is welcome to apply for a position within our dynamic team of volunteers!
