MINISTRY OF MUNICIPAL AFFAIRS

That the City of Port Coquitlam apply to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs Recreation and
Culture for a grant of $S9g884 for watermain projects and a grant of $QG2888 for sewer projects.
listed below under the Provincial Revenue Cost Sharing Program for municipal water and sewer

capital projects.

COMMENTS & BACKGROUND: ,

Bach year the City is entitled to apply to the Provincial Government for cost sharing assistance
in the capital construction of water and sewer projects. This year we have nominated four as
follows:

a. Kingsway watermain re-construction
Westwood Street to bridge - $185,000. “

b, Watermain replacement - Shaughnessy Street
Pitt River Road to Wilson Avenue - $200,000.

SEWER
a. Main construction - Mary Hill Bypass
Coast Meridian to Broadway - $310,000

b. Upgrade sanitary sewer teremetry system
for increased response times by Public Works
crews to eliminate overflow into rivers etc.
- $46,000.
