This involves a personal inspection of each new business. C) Plan checking and working closely with other City Departments, on new developments. D) Fire By-Law Enforcement - Investigation of Fire Department reports and public complaints. E) Public Fire Education 1) Pre-school and elementary school programs. 2) General public programs. a) Fire Safety Fair. b) Trade Show. c) Plan to get out alive. d) Boy Scout, Girl Guide and assorted groups. F) Fire Investigation 1) Investigation of all fires for cause determination. 2) Preparing notes and reports for court appearances for arson cases. FIRE PREVENTION - Our Fire Prevention Division with only two men is severely over-worked. We are months behind our schedule of inspections. New By-Law 902, when enacted will bring additional inspections. All underground tanks must first be located and their construction, eg. fibreglass; steel; coated steel; mus< be determined.
