Marian Kroeker Park

DRAFT RESOLUTIONS:

"That the following resolution passed at the regular Co.ucil Meeting
held on May 30th, 1988 be and same is rescinded:

1, That $4,500 be approved to buy and install playground equipment
aud the the monies be taken from the park D.C.C. interest.

2, That up to $1,700 be approved to install two chain link fences
(approximately 100 feet each) to create an easement for access
imto Marian Kroeker Park.

3. That up to $1,500 be approved for the building of the access into
the park.

4, That the monies for items 2 and 3 be taken from the Parks and
Recreation Department capital fund of $75,000.'"

“That access to Marian Kroeker park be constructed along the Guest
Street alignment at a cost aot to exceed $3,500.00 to be taken fron
the Parks and Recreation Department Capital Fund of $75,000.00.”

BACKGROUND AM) COMMENTS:

Tt is my understanding that Council wishes to consider the above noted
draft resolutions as the feasibility of constructing a temporary access to the
Park through au easement has been reconsidered and it is thought to be in the
best interest of the City to construct the permanent access at this time.
