He. expects the new council, to be elected Nov. 19, will likely hire a consultant to look at the area stretching from the Via Rail tracks to Lakelse Ave. and west from the Staples building to the former Via Rail station, to examine develop- “ment possibilities there. “Tt needs a bit of an uplift,” Talstra said of the area. ' The Terrace Tourism Society and the Terrace Economic " Development Authority will be part of the decision making process, he said.
