IF YOU COULD use a few laughs after paying your
Christmas bills, then make plans to see the two Yuk
Yuk’s comedians coming to the Terrace Inn on Jan. 30-
31. Terrace Little Theatre is sponsoring the event.
Comedian Roman Danylo is an combines hilarious ob-
servations with bizarre scenarios. He’s been a gucst
Star and writer on CBC’s Comics. He’s also appeared
on TV shows, including Sliders and a new NBC pilot,
~ Audience members are often invited on stage to join
Danylo in his improvised sketches.
Dan Licoppe joins Danylo on stage, Licoppe has spent
__ four years doing stand-up comedy. His comedy is best
described as ‘‘sarcastic observations illustrated through
humourous vignettes.”
Licoppe’s talents extend to writing for TV as well —
he’s written an episode for The Simpsons.

Tutors wanted

TRE Community Readers and Writers program is look-
ing for people (to take its second tutor training course,
which will start Tuesday, Feb, 3.

The first course ran last fall and produced 21 tutors.
They're paired up with learners and coordinator Lynn
Patterson says she has more people looking for help
with their reading and writing. Of those 21 tutors only
two are men, and Palterson encourages more men to
sign up for the course.

The tutoring course will run for two hours Tuesday
nights, for nine weeks, Call Patterson at 638-1330 to
register.

saw a full house on Novem-
ber 30 to watch the finals of
a three day Doubles Pool
Toumament sponsored by
Spring Creek Aggregates. I
completed an unprecedented
double by winning the
tournament, having been
teamed with possibly the
| finest female pool player the
branch has ever seen —
Cheryl Irwin. Earlier in the
year | captured the singles
title,
