cont’d page 2- B.R. Kirk - Hazel Trembath School Sandcastles can be required to complete their portion of Confederation Drive at this time under the main agreement with the City and Sandcastles dated September 26, 1988. Also the City would be required to complete a 55 meter long portion of Confederation Drive to the School District’s driveway to Hazel Trembath School. The approximate cost for the City’s portion of the work is $50,000.00. The Fire Department is: requesting an emergency access road between Citadel Heights Middle School and Hazel Trembath Elementary School. Due to the grades involved, the only reasonable opportunity for a fire access between the two schools would be through the B.C. Hydro property. directly north of the schools. The School District will be contacting B.C. Hydro to see if an easement can be obtained for this fire access road. As shown in the attached letter from Bill Lowe, School District Facilities Manager, the School Administration is recommending that the School District proceed with the fire access road and the alternate road access to Hazel Trembath School; however, funding would be required from the School Board and the Province and the road easement be required by B.C. Hydro. The School District is requesting that the City approve the O.C.P. Amendment and Rezoning Amendment and Bylaws 2698 and 2699 based on these proposals at this time so that the Citadel Heights Middle School could proceed on time. gee LR. Zahyhatz, P. Eng.
