We would like to at least set aside a week for next year's celebrations due to the fact that it is the 75th birthday. Presently we have events starting Thursday evening and we would like the option of looking at events to start on Monday. However, this of course would be flexible. CARRIED Item No. 5 White Pine Beach Develonment letter was received from the G.V.R.D. Parks Department. Janna Taylor spoke, to Rick Rankin, the Director of Parks, about the question of "quiet areas". Their main concern is one of noise as it relates to ghetto blasters and other things such as radios. It would seem The attached reasonable to support this concept of a "cuiet area" i'r White Pine due to the fact that it is a rather small beach area. /3 ~ Recommendation,1 That the White Pine Beach development be considered for a "quiet area".
