December 18th, 1978, Prior to Passage of the foregoing resolution Alderman Wright gave an outline of the background of the present Library Headquarters and the two options open for consideration. Discussion then ensued on the possible funding of the new headquarters. From the City Clerk, December ist, 1978 advising of the Land Use Contracts now in process by the City and Stating that prior to adoption of the new Master Zoning By-law, No. ‘1628, it will be necessary for four By-laws to be passed under the terms of the old Zoning By-law stating certain areas to be Development Areas. From the City Clerk, Lecember 18th, 1978 advising that the new zoning by~law, "City of Port Coquitlam Zoning By-law, 1978, No. 1628" all necessary approvals from the Provincial Department of Highways and the Provincial Department of Municipal Affairs have been obtained and it is now possible for the by-law to receive final reading.
