From the Land Sale Committee, March 3rd, 1976, advising that late last year the Department of Highways requested the City give consideration to purchasing property described as the Remainder of Lot 9, Plan 1106 situated just East of the Coquitlam River Bridge adjacent to the Lougheed Highway and Lions Park, and then selling back to the Department of Highways a small portion required for highway widening purposes. The Committee, in its reper, : that recently the owner indicated he would accept a price of 90¢ per square foot for the property which has an area of 1.23 acres, so the total cost would be approximately $48,000.00 less about $3,000.00 for the portion required by the Department of Highways. Moved by Alderman Mabbett: Seconded by Alderman Ranger: That as recommended in a report from the Land Sales Committee, March 3rd, 1976, property described as the Remainder of Lot 9, Plan 1106, situated just East of the Coquitlam River Bridge adjacent to the Lougheed Highway and Lions Park and having an area of 1.23 acres, be purchased at a cost of S0¢ per square foot for a total purchase price of $48,000.00; AND THAT His Worship the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute the necessary documents in connection therewith on behalf of the City and to affix the Corporate Seal thereto.
