May 10th, 1976 Seconded by Alderman Ranger: That a STOP sign be installed at the interesection of Langan and Brown. Tabled. His Worship the Mayor Suggested that a "Yield" sign be installed at that intersection, as it has the same legal responsibility but does not os stop the flow of traffic; however, Alderman Ranger pointed out that there is some speeding in the morninge and late afternoon when people are going to and from work in the adjacent Industrial area. Moved by Alderman Traboulay: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That the foregoing proposed resolution to ingtall a STOP sign at the intersection of Langan and Brow be tabled and referred to the Public Works Committee for further review. ; Carried. from the Leisure Activities Committee, May 7th, 1976, stating that in Leteure Act. Comm.'76 adm. accordance with Council's policy, the City's outdoor pools are operated on a rates—outdoor pools 75% subsidy, and that in order to achieve this in 1976 it will be necessary to increase admission rates by 13.9%. Moved by Alderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: 1 atc re. That as recommended in a report from the Leisure Activities Committee, May 7th, 1976, the increase in the 1976 admission rates for the City's outdoor swimming pools as set forth therein, be approved. Carried, Alderman Traboulay voted against the resolution. i } ! H Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution, Alderman Traboulay suggested that in view of the tight money situation, the amount of the subsidy be reduced and that 5¢ be added to the recommended increased rate; however, Alderman Ranger pointed out that the rates were based on increases made in the past, which were fair and equitable and in keeping with surrounding municipalities. From the City Engineer, May 7th, 1976, advising that at the May 3rd, 1976 City Engineer re min.parcel width policy, Council meeting the following resolutions were passed: ete "The Approving Officer may recommend to Council exemptions from minimum parcel width requirements where the minimum lot size of 5,400 square feet its met and the frontage is not less than 50 feet." "That the foregoing resolution approving application R#3-75 to rezone Property bounded by Langan, Brown, Warwick and Taylor from RS~2 (One~Family Suburban Residential) to RS~1 (One~Family Residential) be deferred for one week and referred to the Approving Officer for review." and submitting an ll-lot subdivision plan comprised of 4~43' lots, 4-60!
