City Engineer SUBJECT: Propesed Coquitlam Dyke Pump Station and East Slough Dredging Work (Public Works Committee Meeting August 21, 1990) Recommendations: 1. That Council award the engineering work to Associated Engineering Ltd. for the complete designs, plans, and specifications for the pump station and the east slough improvements, plus the tendering and site supervision for the installation of Phase I of the pump Station and the improvements to the east slough, all for the fixed lump sum price of $28,000.00. Background & Comments: At the regular Council Meeting of August 13, 1990, Council authorized the installation of the concrete work for the proposed flood box, pump station, and east slough dredging at an estimated cost of $175,000.00. This work is to be financed from the Tax Sale Revenue Fund. The Committee considered the attached letter from Associated Engineering Ltd. dated August 20, 1990, offering to do the design tendering and site Supervision for only the first Phase of the pump station, and the east slough dredging work. The Committee felt that for a fee of $28,000.00 Associated Engineering should also complete the full design of the pump station including all of the electrical and mechanical design.
