Wheeler, Acting Parks & Recreation Director SUBJECT: Skateboarders Parks and Recreation Committee Meeting - February 25, 1993 Recommendation: is recommended: That the City of Port Coquitlam form a task force to investigate the alternatives for skateboarders in Port Coquitlam; and That the membership on the task force include two members from the delegation that appeared before City Council and the appropriate staff members; and That the task force complete its investigation and report back to City Council no later than April 30, 1993. zx we ke we ek kh ke Purpose/Problem The purpose of this report is to provide information and a recommendation for City Council's consideration that outlines an approach to deal with the issue of skateboarding in Port Coquitlam. Background Information A delegation of skateboarders met with City Council on January 25, 1993 requesting a location be found for them to skateboard. This issue was referred to the Parks and Recreation Committee and considered at their February 25, 1993 meeting.
