IN THE MATTER OF Order 95056 dated July 31, 1958

IN THE MATTER OF the railway crossing at Westwood
St~eet in the District of Coquitlam and the City of
Port Coquitlam at mileage 112.80 Cascade Subdivision.

‘Canadian Pacific Limited (CP Rail) hereby applies to
the Minister of Transport pursuant to the terms of the
Railway Safety Act for rescission of clause 2 of Order
95056 dated July 31, (1958.

1. NTA Order is 990—R-666. dated November 16, 1990
authorized roadway widening at this crossing. In
conjunction with the roadway widening, cantilever.
signals and constant warning time devices were.

stalled as an acidition to the existing short arm
gates. These works have now been completed. The
westward operating approach circuits are now |
installed to provide for a design speed 40. miles
per hour.

Paragraph 2 of BTC Order 95056 dated July 31, 1958
restricts approaching westward movements to 15
mile es per hour within 500. feet of the crossing.

With the addition of the constant warning time
devices, it is respectfully submitted that this.
speed restriction is no. longer required. “It is
our opinion. that the automatic warning system ate
this crossing now meets.all standards, and the -
removal of the speed restriction of 15 miles per
