Janna Taylor, Parks & Recreation Director SUBJECT: Reeve Street Park - Removal of Stump Piles: (Parks & Recreation Committee Meeting May 21, 1991) Recommendation 1. To retain Arbotec Tree Services to remove the tree stumps from Reeve Street Park. 2. ‘That the cost of $43,000 be taken from Park D.C.C. interest. packground & Comzents A: report was sent to Council April 22, 1991 recommending that the stumps be removed from Reeve Street Park. At the Council Meeting discussion took place as to the feasibility of moving the stumps to the other side of the dyke. As there was no information available, at that. time, the report was tabled. Since that ‘time, the Parks & Recreation Department -has investigated the situation with the consultant. who is doing the plans for Reeve Street. The Consultant has investigated the situation, with both Federal and Provincial jurisdictions, as to the disposal of the material to the other side of the dyke. The recommendation is that the material be taken off site. The Parks & Recreation Committee support the original April 17, 1991 report to Council.
