RECOMMENDATION: Turn down the request for the installation of sidewalk on Prairie Avenue, east of Cedar Drive. Request for Sidewalk Installation A request was received to have Sidewalk installed on both sides of Prairie Avenue from Cedar Drive to Rae Street. The reason for this request is because of the hazard zhildren face when walking to Cedar Drive School. Conditions Prairie, east of Cedar has a pavement width of 9.5 m on a 20 metre right of way, as shown on the attached sketch. A white line is painted along the south side of Prairie. between Cedar and Rae, «end is placed approximately one metre from the edge of the pavement. A one metre strip of gravel shoulder lies between the edge of pavement and the edge of the ditch. Portions of sidewalk are existing on the north side of Prairie, between Cedar and Rae. Sidewalk on the south side of Prairie will be made a requirement for the four properties from lot W1/2o0f3 to lot 1. as they develop.
