Dear Mayor Campbell and council,

You may be aware that the provincial Dept. cf Economic
Development have offered the opportunity to Champers of
Commerce throughout B.C. to perform the function of Business
Information Centres, Our Chamber is willing to attempt to
undertake this duty in any way possible to us.

We see our function as a dispenser of information,
channelling enquiries to the best possible source of infor-
mation or aid. It is not our intention to act as a counsel~
lor, or to "sell" any location; we intend only to present
the facts. The Dept. of Ec. Dev. have provided us with
resource material on such matters as breiness courses, loans,
legislation; and an adviser on more intricate matters is as
close as our telephone.

We ask for the cooperation of the city in establishing
guidelines for the manner in which we can serve you best;
~ and in providing us with maps and other material to carry
out this function,
