RECOMMENDATION :

1. That City Council give Third Reading to Official Community Plan Bylaw #
2848, including the amendments attached as Appendix I to the enclosed
report of November 9, 1993, from the Director of Planning.

That Council approve the recommendations detailed below on the eight
suggestions made at the Public Hearing where the Planning Department
recommended no action prior to adoption of the Official Community Plan

Bylaw # 2848.

BACKGROUND:

On November 15, 1993 the Municipal Council received the enclosed report
dated November 9, 1993 from the Planning Department, dealing with input
received at the statutory Public Hearing for the Official Community Plan Bylaw
#2848.

The report from the Planning Department was proposing a number of minor
text amendments, reflecting input at the Public Hearing and also identified
eight suggestions from the public where no immediate action was recommended.
These eight items were to be further studied with some of them possibly
resulting in "Council Initiated Amendments to the Flan, when the studies were
completed.

Council passed a resolution deferring consideration of Third Reading until
a further report from the Planning Department was received identifying
Proposed actions on the eight suggestions mentioned above and giving an
approximate time schedule to deal with the items.
