Rick Lewis scored three goals and had two asslisis for a five point night, and Keith Colwell had one goal and three assists for a four point game. The score was 3 to 1 after one period, goals going to Lewis from Colwell and Dillibough, Lewis from Colwell and Colwell from Nevison. Anderson matched that one for their only goal of the game, Richard’ Bruggeman on a pass from Jim Gustafson. _McEwan Motors scored five goals in the third, withouta reply from Gordon and Anderson and wrapped up the victory. Lanny Nevison, playing his first game of the season, scored assisted by Frank O'Brien; Ken Dean from Pat Flynn and Gordon Bentham; Steve Dillibough from Lewis and Nevison; Lewis from Dillibough and Don Watt; and Dillibough from Lewis. The line of Lewis, Dillibough and Watt icked up 11 scoring points or the evening. Totem Ford takes exciting game TERRACE TOTEM FORD 7 GORDON & ANDERSON 5 Two of the most exciting games of the season were played Monday night in the Terrace Commercial Hockey League. Inthe first game the score was tied at the fifteen Minute mark of the final frame, but Totem Ford scored just thirty seconds later to go one up. With less than a minute left in the game G & A pulled their goaltender for a sixth at- tacker and alrnost tied the game on two close shots, however, Totem Ford dug the puck out of their own end and scored with one second left to make the score 7 to 5. Larry Hackman was the first toscore for Totem Ferd when he intercepted a pass in his own end of the rink, raced the length of the ice and put the puck into the top corner; 1-0 Totem Ford. Gordon and Anderson tied the count early in the second period. Hob Bogart got a nice passing play with John Lozier and Don Clifford. Bob Peacock got that one back at the ten minute mark with a flip shot’ from close in’ and Reno Michand finished off the second periad, scoring with a shot that went in off a defenceman’s skate. The period ended 3 to 1 for Totem Ford. Richard Bruggeman scored with less than four minutes gone in the third period on a fine three-way passing play with Harold Olsen getting the assist to POHLE LUMBER 5 McEWAN MOTORS 4 McEwan Motors’ winning streak came to-an end on Monday night at the local arena and Pehle Lumber won their first league game of the season. The only other win for the Pohle Lumber club was against the Juveniles last Tuesday night by a7? to 4 seore. Daryl Dewynter opened the scoring for Pohle with just forty seconds gone in the first period with a hard shot from the left side. Sev Piattoni fed him the puck aiter taking.a pass from Bob Cooper. McEwan Motors tied the score two minutes later on a goal by Lewis who picked the puck out of a scramble in front of the net and drove ‘it home, assisted by Steve . Dillibough. Marcel Tookenay was left untouched as he circled around in the Pohle end of the rink, and the score was 2-1 for McEwan Motors. That was the final tally of the first periad. Maurice Ebel went off for elbowing shortly after the second period began and . Gordon and Anderson wi draw within one goal of Totem Ford. Totem Ford got their two goallead back while playing shorthanded. Owen Greaves stole the disc offa G&A defenceman, went in and scored, Another three-way passing play brought rdon and Anderson within one goal. Jim Gustafson was the triggerman on passes ‘from Brad Letham and Barry Heinen. Mike Scott made the count § to 3 with a hard wrist shot from the right side, after being set up by Larry Hack- man and Bob Peacock. John Lozier brought in one again, on a goal that came from a scramble in front of the Totem Ford cage. Boh Bogart and Don Clifford were credited with assists on the play. Peter Nickerson tied the score with Jess than four minutes left in the game, John Lozier assisting. Reno Michaud put the puck in the G & A net just twenty seconds later. Reno was falling to the ice and let g0-a golf shot that went by a Surprised goaltender, Bob Middleton assisting, and that was ail Totem Ford neededas G & A pulled their goalie and the Ford team scored while the net was empty. _Bob Peacock fired the final goal, assisted by Michaud Greaves.
