SUBJECT: TRAFFIC IMPROVEMENTS ON PITT RIVER ROAD, YUKON TO
ROUTLEY.

The request attached is asking that the City construct a side wa: . on the east side of Pitt River
Road. from Yukon Street to Routley Street. The reason for this request is to provide safer
travel for children walking to school, by not requiring chem to cross Pitt River to use the
sidewalk on the west side.

The length of sidewalk would be approximately 200 meters. Also required would be curb and
gutter and approximately 3 metres of road widening.

Approximate construction costs would be:

Sidewalk 12,000
Curb & Gutter 10,000
3m Asph & base 15,000
3 catchbasins 4,000
Boulevard restoration 4,000
