The monies required to complete the preparation of the site of the proposed tourist facility and to match the funds requested from the federal government to hire the students required to man the facility cannot, however, be dealt with in a provisional manner. These funds are required to be firmly committed as soon as possible as the Chamber cannot pay for the cost of preparing this site and matching the funds requested from the federal government and the proposed facility will proceed or it will not, depending upon whether or not the three communities involved agree to provide the required funds. Accordingly, we are requesting that your committee firmly commit the sum of $2,450.00 toward the Coquitlam Chamber of Commerce fee for service agreement for 1984, so that we may proceed with the proposed temporary tourist facility in time for the 1984 tourist season. We trust that you will discuss the proposal of the Coquitlam Chamber of Commerce outlined herein at your next committee meeting and if you should require further information or if you feel that the Chamber should address your committee on this subject, please advise. our General Manager, Diane Warfield (Telephone 464-2716) of your requirements and we shall be pleased to provide whatever assistance or information you should desire.
