a request from the Department. of Highways for a 68 sq. ft. portion of Apr. 30/79 re
City-owned land

City-owned land, from the lot described as Parcel 1, Sketch 7600, for the ~Kingsway
consideration of $1.00; as the new alignment for the Mary Hill By-pass

at the east end of Kingsway Avenue through the C.P.R. Underpass encroaches
on this parcel. Alderman Ranger stated in his opinion access to the
City-owned Property should be acquired now. Discussion ensued and

Council agreed a Letter of Understanding regarding future access to

the City~owned property should be acquired now so it would be on file

for future development proposals.

Budget By-laws for 1979 have been prepared for Council's consideration. Budget By-laws,
Discussion then ensued. Alderman Mabbett stated it had been brought 1979.

to the attention of the Leisure Activities Committee at their last

meeting that a low-bed trailer is required for transporting playground

huts. He further stated that the Public Works Department has a problem

transporting the small road roller and a low-bed trailer could be used

for this purpose. Alderman Mabbett stated that a low-bed trailer

as required, could be purchased for the approximate cost of $4,000.00
