January 10th, 1977 A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chamber, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2272 MeAliister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B. C., on January 10th, 1977 at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor J.M, Campbell, Aldermen J.J. Keryiuk, G.R. Laking, E.W. Mabbett, P.F. Ranger, M.A. Thompson, and L.M. Traboulay in attendance. Also in attendance were Chief Administrative Officer L.D. Pollock, City Clerk R.A. Freenan, City Engineer V.G. Borch, P. Eng., City Treasurer J. Maitland, Planning Officer Lanson Lee, Fire Chief W.S. Wingrove, Works & Utilities Superintendent G. Ulmer, and Mrs. B.M. Aaiten. CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES: Moved by Alderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That the minutes of a regular meeting of this Council held on December 20th, 1976, be taken as read and adopted. Carried. Moved by Alderman Ranger: Sezonded by Alderman Laking: That the minutes of a Special meeting of this Council held on December 29th, 1976, be taken as read and adopted. Carried. Moved by Alderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That the minutes of the Statutory meeting of this Council held on January 3rd, 1977, be taken as read and adopted. Carried. DELEGATIONS: Mayor Campbell suggested that Item No. 15(a), concerning the proposed Pigeon By-law, -be taken from its listed position on the Agenda for consideration at this time as a number of persons where in attendance with respect thereto, and members of Council generally agreed. From the City Clerk, January Sth, 1977, submitting a draft by-law prepared by the City's Solicitor proposed to regulate the keeping of pigeons within the City, and advising that should the by-law proceed, amendments would then have to be made to the Animal Control By-law and possibly the Zoning By-law to coincide therewith. Also submitted with the City Clerk's memorandum were a petition favouring the proposed By- law and an article on racing pigeons provided by Mr. J. DeVries, whose request to continue with this hobby at 3537 St. Anne's Street has been under study.
