With the prospect of early total consolidation agreement and in view of the good
faith now indicated by both City and District officials, the District Council
Saw no urgency to pursue the construction of a fire hall at 3856 Coast Meridian
Road prior to an imminent overall consolidation agreement. For that reason,

the second resolution in the minutes of the meeting of City and District
representatives held Cctober 2nd, 1973 was not ratified by the District

Council.

We now look forward to meeting with you and your staff to pursue the consolida-
tion agreement at the earliest convenient date you can meet.
