Terrace to host 1991 Northern B.C. Winter Games _ The Northern British Columbia Winter Games '- Society has awarded the 1991 Northern B.C. Win- ter Games to Terrace. The Games, which are a celebration of sport and nor- thern lifestyles, will take place February 7, 8, 9 and 10, 1991. The Northern British: Columbia Winter Games were previously held in Terrace in 1983. The - 1989 Games are being held in Prince Rupert, and the 1990 Games will go to the Peace River communities of Chetwynd, Tumbler Ridge. and Hudson’s Hope. So, The 1991 Games will be hosted jointly by the City of Ter- race and School District 88. This is the first time that a school district will be officially desig- - nated as host by the Northern B.C. The City of Terrace has committed the use of its recreation facilities and will also consider a grant towards the organization of the Games.
