Quotations have been received according to the attached recap. Tne lowest quotation which completely meets our specifications is from Metro Motors for a total cost including tax of $6,351.87. An alternate was received from Westminster Chev-Olds Limited for a vehicle from stock which meets our specifications except for colour. This vehicle is in white rather than Yukon Yellow and is available for $6,115.66 including tax. Since the immediate availability of the alternate will Save us about $800.00 in rental costs and since the price is also the lowest received, the Committee recommends that we purchase the 3/4 ton Chevy Van from Westminster Chev-Olds Limited for a purchase price of $6,115.66 including tax. ITEM IT Re: Proposed Road Cancellation for ‘Property on Prairie Avenue, Toronto Street & Stratford Street ; Council on May 15th, 1978 referred to the Public Works Committee the question of road cancellation for the proposed subdivision north of Prairie Avenue at Toronto Street. The Public Works Committee concurs with the recommend- ations of the Planning and Zoning Committee to cancel the road allowances for Salisbury Avenue and for Stratford Street and to extend instead Oriole Avenue to connect up with Toronto Street. The Committee also requested that Prairie Avenue be completed as part of the off-site services for this development. [eevee
