| That as recommended by the Public Works Committee, June 25th, 1976
i the following Tenders be accepted:
From Metro Motors Ltd. being $3,146.87 for the supply of a Compact
Pick-up;
From Metro Motors Lrd. being $4,273.58 for the supply of a Full-
i size Pick-up;
From Rod McCallum Motors being $13,603.70 for the supply of a
Single-axle Truck;
oo ’ From DEL Equipment being $4,131.27 for the supply of a Dump Body;
. each of the above tendered prices being the Lowest Tender and inclusive
| of ail applicable taxes and trade~ins; ao

From Metro Motors Ltd. being $7,697.58 for the supply of three
small cars, namely three 1976 Ford Pinto Two-door sedans; SUBJECT TO

the Committee bringing the matter back to Council should there be any

price change from the tendered price stated.

Alderman Laking vcted against the resolution.

Prior to passage of the above-noted resolution, considerable discussion

ensued respecting the availability of certain models of vehicles and i
whether or not prices could in fact be guaranteed. Alderman Traboulay ;
also pointed out the advantages of the smaller Honda Civic with respect

to gas and insurance costs. Alderman Mabbett reiterated the remarks of .

the report that the second highest bidder had been recommended for the

small cars due to the accessibility of the supplier for parts and servicing. i
