Respectfully Submitted item ¥ Re: Report on the Ecological Study. ‘ : '.’ Comments: The Ecological Study was discussed by the Planning and Zoning and the : Environmental Protection Committee and dealt with four aspects: Spani Subdivision, Construction of Lincoln Avenuc, Land Exchange and Future Servicing. 1] The first item regarding Spani's subdivision was discussed. Both Committees agreed that the compromise put forth by Howard Paish our Ecology Consultant could resolve the conflict in this area. It was therefore resolved that our Land Sales . Committee should look into the method of acheiving the proposal and the cost which might be incurred before a final recommendation is made: . 2] Lincoln Avenue ~ It was the opinion of both Comnittces that an alternate route for Lincoln Avenue te persucd if necessary and that possibly the Publie Works Committee should resolve the alternate route with the help of the Road Study Consultant. 3] As there are 2 other private parcels involved in the reserve area the committees would like the Lands Sales Committee to work with Gavel Development on a possible swap _and for the present the large acreage on the north of the Hyde Creek could be zoned A-2 to preserve that parcel in a 20 acre parcel. The Planning and Zoning Committee will dis- cuss this further. . . 4] Services - particularly water and sanitary sewer which would require extension into the north part of the City was discussed. Usiug Mr. H. Paish's sugeestion the Committee's felt that future service routes could be placed on bridle trails and walkways. 5 H H t
