He was the youngest of five boys. He mamed Grace Nienp in 1937 and with four chidren (Jim, Walter, Ida and Tena} immigrated to Houston, BC in 1948. They arrived in Terrace, BG in 1954 and thera ware blassed with two mora children, Norman and Dick. He bought a S-acre parcal of land on Kalum St, and farmed this land growing potatoes, vegetables and flowers. He was a meticulous gardener and took great pride in his work, With his wife Grace (who predeceased him in 1985) they worked the faim together. Jacob was a charler member of tha Christian Reformed Church and Centannial Christian School, He was a loyal supporter of both. He was blassed with 24 grandchildren and numerous great grandchitdren. The last five years of his Ifa were spent in Edmonton whare he ftecelved extended cate. Ha died peacefully on Navember 25, 2002, Ha was a quiat, genta man who will be missed by all who knaw him. In 1894 Annie moved into Tarraceview Lodge.
