Felip Director of Planning 1884 Argue Street - Official Commmity Plan Amendment No. 75/92 Planning and Development Committee — February 2, 1993 RECOMMENDATION = That the Municipal Clerk be instructed to prepare @ bylaw to amend the Official Community Plan as outlined in Appendix I. DISCUSSION: At the Council Meeting of January 25, 1993, Council gave approval in principle to a 5-unit apartment building at 1884 Argue Street. It was recommended that this site and the surrounding areas along Argue Street be designated as a Development Permit Area in order to provide guidelines for commercial and multi-family development and protection of the natural environment. The proposed guidelines described in Appendix I may be implemented by amending the Official Community Plan to create "Development Permit Area XVI." The proposed guidelines are of a general nature and will allow the use of Development Permits to ensure that a high quality of design is achieved on the development site. LEY Carlos Felies M~Arch.
