Section A - Major Arterials Items i, di, and iif were agreed with by Council. Item Iv was considered to require more discussion with the Department of Highways. Concern was expressed ahout the dedication of the park and the creation of a rondway through this area and also the advisability of funnalling the traffic out cnto Shaughnessy Street, north of the underpass. Item v regarding the extension of Lincoln - there was general agreement that this item be included, Alderman Laking was . the only opposing member of Council. Item vii ~ Como Lake~Kelly Intersection was not approved and it was felt that further discussion was needed... Some expressed the view that Pitt River Road should be utilized if pessible, Item vii was approved. ‘ Section ~ Minor Artertals Item 1 ~ there was opposition to any change in the status of Pipeline Road at the City boundary and Council, wish this to remain closed, Items 4i, tii, iv, v, and vi were al] approved. Item vii - Council did net agree on designating this shore pLlece as an arterial in view of the access to Pitt River Roud and considered that there should be more discussioa on this point with Wighways. . Ttem vili - Council agreed on showing a link across the southern portion of Mary Hild and agceed with the supsestion that this should perhaps not link directly through to the industrial area. The Mayor sugpested that the question of all of these itams he kept under coustderation for the next two weeks and mombers af Counet L could convey to you any additional eenceras that they have.
