Challenge road building operation in a fish-bearing stream on the Queen Charlotte Islands. The order came down after an initial forest service request to stop work was not followed. _ A group consisting of forest service and environment ministry officials, together with a Fletcher Challenge engineer, visited the site Nov. 9. They noticed 2 company employee building a crossing in the stream and the engineer ordered the work to cease, But it did not and the next day the engineer reporied the work to the forest service. The forest service then ordered the work stopped, Fletcher Challenge will be required to carry out any re- habilitation measures that may be necessary.
