are doing 4 fine job. Once again the
; people of Terrace are responding with
" iawy donations and businesses across
town are purchasing wreaths for dis-
_play, If by chance you have been
missed, please contact the Legion at
-635- 5825, and we will get one to you.
‘Our. poppy campaign takes place on
_ Friday and Saturday Nov. 3 and 4.
- The gratitude of our veterans is ex-
. tended to the community for their
continued support,
The money donated during this
_ campaign is placed in a public trust
- fund and is used to provide assistance

dependents and other charitable
causes within ouggommunity, It is not
used for legion bratich affairs.

Remembrance Day is not merely the
legion’s day but is the day of remem-
brance for all the people of Canada,

On this year's Remembrance Day
there will be a change in venue for the
children, After the parade and service
the children will be given refresh-
ments at the Happy Gang Centre and
parents are asked to pick up their chil-
dren no later then 1:15 p.m,

There will be further information in
next week’s paper and on channel 10,

lertaining Fifties Dance. Our zone

shelter
overflowing

THIS GERMAN Shepherd
named Princess was lucky
enough ta find a home last
week, but some weren't so
lucky. That's Jody Cey who
works at the Animal
Shelter, keeping a hold on
Princess. She says the
shelter is full to overflowing
with puppies, dogs and
cats and kitties looking far
new awners. The last time
the shelter was full, staff
decided to fly a dag to Vic-
toria for adoption. After his
picture appeared in the
paper, the shelter was
flooded with callers, claim-
ing they would have
adopted the dog. Cey is
hoping those callers will
