A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the City of Port
Coquitlam was held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2580 Shaughnessy
Street, Port Coquitlam, BC on Monday, November 8th, 1993, at 7:30 p.m.

Mayor L.M. Traboulay and Councillors, M.D. Gates, M.J. Gordon, J.J. Keryluk, R.H.
Talbot, M.A. Thompson, and M.R. Wright were in attendance.

Also in attendance were Administrator B.R. Kirk, City Clerk S. Rauh, City
Treasurer/Deputy Administrator J.G.S. Maitland, City Engineer I.R. Zahynacz, Director of
Community Planning C.R. Felip, Director of Parks and Recreation K.J. Taylor, and Fire Chief
J.L. Baillie.

That the minutes of the Regular Council Meeting held on November Ist, 1993 be taken as
read and adopted.

Item No. 17, Agreement - School District No. 43, was previously discussed In-Camera at
the meetings of June 25th, and August 23rd, 1993, and is now being brought to the regular
Council meeting for consideration.

PROCLAMATIONS:

Whereas the vast majority of youth are concerned, knowledgeable, and responsible citizens;

Whereas the accomplishments and achievements of these young citizens deserve
recognition and praise of their elders;

Whereas Optimist Intemational has, since 1954, developed and promoted a program
entitled Youth Appreciation Week;

And whereas the citizens of Port Coquitlam have indicated a desire to join the Optimist
Club in expressing appreciation and approval of the contributions of youth,

Now therefore I, Leonard M. Traboulay, Mayor of the Corporation of The City of Port
Coquitlam DO HEREBY PROCLAIM the week of November 8th to 14th, 1993 as

"YOUTH APPRECIATION WEEK"

in the City of Port Coquitlam.
