A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2580 Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on Monday, August 24th, 1992, at 7:30 p.m. Mayor L.M. Traboulay and M.D. Gates, M.J. Gordon, R.H. Talbot, M.A. Thompson, and M.R. Wright were in attendance. Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, City Clerk §. Rauh, City Engineer LR. Zahynacz, Director of Planning C.R. Felip, and Director of Building Permits and Inspections J.D. Shardlow. _- His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay introduced Ms. Michelle Hartigan, a french immersion student from Mary Hill Junior Secondary School who will be attending Grade 11 in Venezuela as a foreign exchange student. His Worship presented Ms. Hartigan with a Port Coquitlam book iitae as That the minutes of the Public Hearing and Regular Council meeting held on August 10th, 1992 be taken as read and adopted. Carried. WHEREAS United Way of the Lower Mainland is now campaigning to provide care and help to our citizens; _ WHEREAS over 100 agencies and services and Red Cross depend on our donations through United Way of the Lower Mainland to maintain their vital services, _ WHEREAS each year, more than 500,000 Lower Mainland citizens are helped by United Way-funded services; AND WHEREAS thousands of families, seniors and young people in this municipality | benefit through these services, NOW THEREFORE I, Leonard M.
