Kirk, November 14, 1988 City Administrator FROM: Environmental Protection Committee SUBJECT: Newspaper Recycling Program Information Campaign Recommendation: That Council approve the canvassing of all households in the City by the Boy Scouts on December 3, 1988 to distribute an information brochure and blue bags to increase participation in the Newspaper Recycling Program, and that a budget of $4,000 be approved for the project which includes a donation of $2,000 to the Scouts for their assistance. Background and Comments: The Environmental Protection Committee wishes to spend the recently approved GVRD Recycling Grant to bolster participation in the Newspaper Recycling Program.
