- FROM THE ICE AGE — TO THE ARENA AGE _ Terrace figure skaters glide through history . ie “Skating through the Ages" happens March 25 and 26 at 7:00 p.m: at the Terrace Arena. Presented by the Terrace Figure Skating Club, the show will feature family fun entertainment with all skating levels and all age groups (four through 19). In the hour-and-a-half show, the club will skate solo and in groups portraying people through the ages — cave people (including Pebbles, BamBam and Dino!), the decades of 1920’s, the 1990's, right through to the future. Skating through the Ages has been a real group effort. Julia: Mitchell has served as chairman of the event. Parents were responsible for construction and sewing of all the costumes required. Club coaches Tanya and Leonard Warkentin choreographed the pieces and arranged the music. Dennis Lissimore is in charge of lighting. And the students spent-many dedicated hours in rehearsal for their skating debut. Guest skaters Jeff Zarin and Lisa Daly, who competed _in the Canadian ‘championships last year, will perform singles and pairs for the audience. Back in the Ice Age...
