TERRACE — Miss Terrace will be crowned at the REM |
Lee Theatre on Saturday, July 23 coinciding with the kick-
off of Riverboat Days, Miss ‘Terrace will act as Riverboat
Queen throughout the 10-day extravaganza’ will alsu
represent the district at many upcoming fulletions in the
hext year. The organization of the pageant, is being handled
by a committee coniprised of six men and womeri under the
Suidance of the Terrace Jaycees, 59 8s

The pageant will follow: the format of the Mins PNB
Pageant as it is hoped the winner will be invited to atterid

./ The objective of the Miss Terrace Pageant is twofold,
according to committee spokesmen. First to offer the young
ladies self-Lmprovement through formal training in hygene,
etiquette, modelling, public speaking, poise and cosmetics;
and secondly, to reward their efforts in the form. of public
recognition. The girls will be judged on ‘these
characteristics as well as beauty of face and figure, -
personality and charm, talent and general knowledge.
