SUBJECT: 1946 Taylor Street
Group Day Care

RECOMMENDATION: That City Counci! authorise location of a
group day care 12r children at 1946 Taylor
Street. :

COMMENTS:

This request is to estab!ish a child care service for eight
children in the applicant's home. The applicant has contacted
neighbours to inform them of the proposal and gain their support
by a petition. In view of the neighbourhood acceptance, this
proposal should not be subject to any neighbourhood controversy.

With respect to parking for parents leaving children, the proposal
is for eight children which is not a significant number. I+
should be noted, however, that if several of the parents arrive at
the same time it will be necessary for them to park on the street
In front of neighbouring houses. In the area of noise from
children playing,the small number should not pose a problem that a
larger number of children would.

In conclusion, approval of this application is recommended.
basis for recommending approval is there will be only a min
traffic and parking impact from this proposal and that it
provide a service to working parents in the neighbourhood,
