THE COKPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM ITEM III -— Continued - Street to the west property line of Lot 11, Plan 3106 (2412 Kingsway). . ; ITEM IV Re: STOP Signs - Flint and Coquitlam Now that the arterial street pattern has changed as a result of the Lougheed - Shaughnessy intersection improve~ ments, the Committee recommends that the STOP signs on Flint Street, north and south of Coquitlam Avenue be removed. ITEM V Re: STOP Signs - Oxford and Coquitlam Traffic counts at this intersection have been taken before and after the changes in the arterial street pattern resulting from the Lougheed - Shaughnessy intersection improvements. Traffic volumes,as expected, on Coquitlam Avenue have decreased considerably (3,000 cars per day to 1,500 cars per day and 400 cars per hour to 100 cars per hour). Surprisingly traffic volumes on Oxford have decreased slightly (2,500 cars per day to 2,000 cars per day and 330 cars per hour to 300 cars per hour). Nevertheless the predominant traffic movement is now north-south and not east-west. The Committee recommends that the STOP signs at this intersection be changed from Oxford Street to. Coquitlam Avenue, east and west of Oxford Street. Respectfully submitted, JA Sorbo V.G. Borch’, P. Eng., ° City Eng} eer.
