Unfortunately Jane, Anne (our bookkeeper)
aod several board members have nor been
#0 lucky. For this reason the financial
statements are mor yet completed. We mer
with the accouncant wed he assured us we
will have them by che end of February, A
condensed version will be mailed co all
members. [f you want the longer version,

We need to replace our printer without
spending money. Jane and Karen spend so
much time whiting our all the black smudge
lines! Here's how you can help; if you
know of someone willing to donate one
(your best friend owns Doppler or Hewlete-
Packard) or are willing to phone dealers and
beg, we can offer a cax deductible receipe
through the Northwest Ceramics
Foundation. We will also give credit in all
our newsletters, or give free advertising. If
you have one ready to donate now please
call Carol Mayer at the Foundation at 734 -
0454. Otherwise call Linda at 420 - 0413.

The plans for the Lottery for Pottery fund
taiser are well underway. The event, as
planned, will take place on Friday, March,
21st, 1997 in the Floral Hall of VanDusen
Botanical Garden. The fundraising
comumuctee has arranged for a cash bar as
well as musical entertainment for the
evening, just to add to the beautiful
ambience while viewing the pots on
display.

By sending in your membership renewal fees
promptly you are doing your part to pay
down our line of credit.

A bit of fun about the Guild's history...
the BC Potter's Guild, in years gone by,
held regular meetings in the Floral Hall of
VanDusen Gardens. Many of our
members will remember che beautiful view
of che garden from the Floral Hall. We
are pleased to hose chis first event in such
surroundings. The funds raised at chis
event will be used for the upcoming BC
Potters book project.

- Jane announced new deadlines for
Newsletter

- Jane reported on financial statements and
guild business.

- New committee for Catalogue formed,
with Carol and Deborah serving on it.

- Studio $ price reduced to $150 monchly,
& will have signed agreement with tenant.
- Lottery for Pottery to be held March 21 at
VanDusen Gardens.

- Les reported that Lois Romanov is
interested in being involved with che Guild
outreach.

-Voted $100 per year to updare Library-
Jane wants not to be librarian.
